Thread: Google Mobile App updates to v3.9.8

The Google Mobile Search app has been updated to v3.9.8. No presence of a change log, but it's always good to get updated to the latest version. Could just be the routine bug fixes. Download and let us know if you notice anything different.

how confusing is this
i am browsing blackberryos on my pc and see the google map search has been updated . goody press the install now and nothing happens check the version on my play book 2.3.1 no update available . strange fire up the torch and navigate to the same page press ota and voila downloads to my torch
now this is going to be a serious problem later as people start to browse web pages from multiple devices (blackberry ) and os's 5,6,7 & play book and qnx devices soon
so if the " this update applies to " is not mentioned in the opening sequence how are we to know that it is for a device we are currently using ?

Right away you can rule out PC because the title says for Mobile.

Rule out for PlayBook as well because our forum has a separate forum for PlayBook apps here... PlayBook Games & Apps. And also I posted a screenshot of the app which is clearly the resolution/look of a smartphone, not the PlayBook or PC.

Third time is a charm in your quest to update, glad you got it installed on your Torch.

If there is a app that is only specific for one type of OS we will note it, but in this case the Google app is compatible for most BlackBerry operating systems.
