Few weeks ago BB Skullz did an initial review of the first beta release for the Blackberry Storm. Well...
Bee Jive has released an update to their beta version for the Blackberry Storm to 1.9.2

It took what seemed like forever for Bee Jive to release a Storm version for the famous IM application. When they finally did I, like BB Skullz did, expected there to be flaws and bugs. It was a first version, nothing is perfect when it is first released. Blackberry should know all about that one. Anyways.
The bugs and flaws that were found in the first release seem to be fixed. Looks like the developers are finally getting somewhere!! One thing that was fixed that I did not like with the first version was the layout of landscape and portrait. When switching to landscape, the category bars would not extend to fill the screen. Well, that was fixed.

Looks so much better now that it was resolved. Another issue that was annoying was when someone sent you an IM, you did not get to see their text. It would appear as a new IM but a blank one. That was resolved as well. There are new added preferences under the preferences that make your IM style fit more of what you want it to be. You can change the colors of the background, you can change the chat style, incoming color, outgoing color, wallpaper, allow it so you can view in landscape, different options for emoticon. They have def. made a huge improvement!!
There is only ONE thing I have found to bug me. When you're typing in a chat, the area you type in is a transparent dark grey bubble. I have not tried to see if I can remove it, I hope I can because I def. do not like it. If I can't then I think BeeJive needs to make this an option.

As you can see it kind of makes the entire chat annoying. That was viewed while in landscape mode.
Overall, Bee Jive has made a HUGE improvement with this beta. I have yet to run into any bugs that cause performance problems and I highly doubt I will. This is a very strong build and will help Bee Jive with the Storm application A LOT. I will now be purchasing a license since this release.
You can download Bee Jive by going to
www.beejive.com/stormbeta on your Storm
They do offer a free trial but WELL worth it to purchase a license.
