Douglas from Inside BlackBerry Blog goes over how adding Super Apps characteristics will extend the functionality and stickiness of a BlackBerry smartphone app. In the above video, Mike from Xtreme Labs shows how something as seemingly simple as a weather application can leverage Super Apps characteristics to become a valuable tool in your daily life. He also goes over the basic definition of what a Super App is in comparison to a regular app. Even better news, you can download AccuWeather for FREE in BlackBerry App World. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think of this highly integrated Super App!

To bad it doesn't save changes made.
I want metric and some other settings but it doesn't save them so I deleted it. Looks great but I don't get Farenheit and alot of info isn't what I want to know.
To bad, looks great and verry quick.

Meh. Here, its sunny for 12 hours of the day, and dark for another 12 hours. The last time it rained was maybe 2 months ago. I can just look out the window

I'm really enjoying this app. As far as metric??? I remember when the US decided to go metric back in the 70s. It was touted as the wave of the future and all 50 states would be metric. That lasted for about a week.

I think this happens every couple years or so, because I remember in High School when they were saying the same thing.

I would rather learn our system first and then metric, as metric is super easy. I have friends that learned on metric that are like, WTF is up with the US system!? It's like learning another language for them, they can't understand it. lol

Interesting. I had AccuWeather on mine for awhile but deleted it for not being as good as some of the others. Guess I should give it another try since its now a "Super App". Hopefully it is. I need good up to the minute weather

Toronto, the best place in my opinion. I'm actually going there this summer

Yeah...and some arabic. I speak French mainly because the Arabic classes here are too advanced to my level (I forgot all the arabic I knew when I lived in Canada...but I'll have to give you my life's story if you want more )
I might drop French next year though. Its very hard to study for, and I'd rather spend my time on something else, like BBOS

PS: Sorry for not answering these posts sooner

AccuWeather v1.1 looks like the same version I deleted a month or so ago. I'm playing with the settings and getting a little happier with it. It doesn't seem to load as fast as WeatherBug but the radar is nicer and the daily forecast in my messages when I wake up is nice. I subscribe to AccuWeather Premium on my desktop and I do hope they can eventually get this program closer to that because the desktop version is the premiere weather application in my opinion
