I bought myself a prem package of Documents To Go. How is the best method to make sure I have a back up? Its just a matter of time till I jump onto another Storm 9530 leaked OS bandwangon, and end up losing apps again. I am new at this game of bb back up, and each time I try to do it right, I gain knowledge, in a lesson of losing something. Data I am pretty good at hanging onto, apps themselves, I need help with.

I believe all you would have to do is put the activation code back in, im not sure if it will back up under 3rd party apps
With Docs to go save your documents and files to your memory card. that way if you ever need to change phones you can swap out the memory card and put it in your new phone. Plus once it's on your memory card you can download to your PC and reinstall to a new memory.Quote:

Once you have the .zip, delete the previous back up (not the .zip) and then run the 3rd party app back up process again. :)

For example, I just recently updated my BB, and after the update and during the restoration process it brought back my D2G Premium edition- but not the activation codes. It also gave me a few errors on my BB too, but I ALWAYS disregard these D2G error messages after a upgrade. So, I would advise you to ignore for a moment any of those kind of error messages relating to D2G.
I then opened D2G and registered all over again, and this first time registration did not and will not include the premium version (even though you have the premium version files on your bb).
Do your registration as normal with a minimum of email address, name, city, state, and let it register.
Once it registers successfully, then open D2G and tell it you want to activate premium features. It will now ask you for your activation information. Key that in, and you are now on the Premium version.
Since you restored you D2G Premium you have all the Premiums files already on your blackberry- including PDF to go. The only other thing you may want to do at this put is have it check for updates ;-)

Yeah, I completely agree with you....and I think it's like that for most apps, every OS change, you gotta enter activation codes. Sux, but hey, we are addicts, right? ;)Quote:
