Thread: Facebook 2.0 for BlackBerry emerges!?

If you are waiting for Facebook to come out with it's next great update, it may not be far off from happening. BlackBerry site, N4BB, has received a great tip with some photos that are said to be screen captures for Facebook 2.0! Here are some of the new features:

• Facebook Chat
• UI Refresh
• View friends’ profile info, pages and friends lists
• Improved core app integration

The release of FaceBook 2.0 is tracking for May 2011, with an even earlier Beta 2 release projected for March 2011. Let's give all those Facebook Chat devs out there a hand for keeping us at bay while we welcome in Facebook 2.0! Is this too good to be true?

The only thing that makes these leaked images suspect is the image quality. A good fake is always a bit blurry. And like most anything, this could easily be a fake to get a story.

Compatible with all OS's you reckon?

The main thing besides the blurry pic that says fake to me, is the signal meter. It seems a bit to clunky and out of place for the UI. Oh yeah, and also the transparent grey background. What's the point of having it transparent when it's hard to see what content is behind that particular layer. It just takes your eyes away from the layer you are focused on.

I imagine if there is a chat feature with 2.0 that it would also be compatible for OS 5.
