Starbucks now accepting mobile payments nationwide

Back in September we covered the release of the Starbucks app for the BlackBerry Smartphone. Starting today, you’ll be able to swipe BlackBerry at almost all Starbucks locations to pay for your coffee (or those triple double chocolately whipped-up lattes with a cherry on top).

How easy will it be to pay for that special coffee of choice? Just tap “touch to pay” in the app, hold it up to the scanner at the register and you’re off and running. To download the Starbucks app from your mobile, text "GO" to 70845

With almost every consumer owning a smart device, I imagine it will get even weirder. I always find myself showing coupons via my email on my phone now instead of printing them off like we used to do.
