IM+ Talk 4.3 Available for BlackBerry

Enjoy Skype calls and chat on your BlackBerry! Pure phone quality, no extra voice delays. Call to any landline or mobile number at low Skype rates. With IM+ Talk for BlackBerry you can talk with other Skype users all over the world.

IM+ Talk allows you to make free VoIP calls in Wi-Fi areas and over 3G/EDGE. When connecting via wireless carrier's network you can still make calls using Skype credits. With app purchase, you get a lifetime license so all further updates are included. You can also transfer the license to another device (except for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and webOS). The cost for this app is $29.95 and requires OS 4.3 or later.

    Features

    • Call Skype users on their PCs from your BlackBerry
    • Free VoIP calls in WiFi areas and over 3G/EDGE in half-duplex mode, similar to a walkie-talkie
    • Make cost-effective calls to any destination
    • Call any landline or mobile phone cost effectively
    • IM+ Talk uses callback technology
    • Receive calls from Skype contacts and calls to your SkypeIn number
    • See who is online and chat with Skype users from your BlackBerry

Have conversations with other users who are logged in with their Skype accounts on PC or mobile. If you have a cap on your SMS usage each month, the Skype text messaging may be a cost effective way to say something to your contacts instead of sending an SMS.

    How It Works
You can make free VoIP calls via Wi-Fi or via 3G/EDGE if you select "VoiP only" or "VoIP preferred" in IM+ Talk "Settings". VOiP calls work in half-duplex mode so you would need to use the convenience key of your Blackberry to switch between "talk" and "listen" modes (like a walkie-talkie).

When you are not in a Wi-Fi zone, you can still make calls using callback. In this case, both the contact person and you will get an incoming call. This is because when you use the callback feature, you are actually making two calls: one - to your Skype contact or to another phone number and a second - to your callback number. Both calls are charged according to standard Skype rates, therefore Skype credits or a Skype subscription is required for all incoming and outgoing calls in IM+ Talk.

Please note that additional charges might apply if your phone provider charges the incoming calls on the callback number specified.
