you shouldnt be worried about the 1gb of memory the phone has, because the apps you are running use your "file free" memory which acts as the phones ram. Hell if there was 1gbto be used i wouldnt have had to remove half my 3rd party apps. Sorry to say but that 1gb of onboard memory has nothing to do with your 3rd party apps since they run straight off the phones ram. im not sure but im guessing it hasabout 128 mb, minus about 50-60 for your phones basic OS, and add in a few 3rd party apps and you end up with atthe MOST around 55-60mb free if your lucky, and running default theme at that. The last thiing you should be worried about is the 1gb of on board memory since it does nothing for the performance of the device.
edit: btw i run at between 45-50mb free with my minimum apps installed. you should read up a lil more on these forums![]()

Trunk you are absolutely correct. The phone has available ram of 128mb and the best you will see even with nothing installed and shrinking your OS is 60mb. The 1gb has nothing to do with available memory. The good news is that on more recent OS's like .186 and .191 the phone actually give you 110-120mb's of available memory. When those get leaked long will be the days where you had to get rid of 3rd party apps to conserve memory.

What a great app. I tried the free trial which works great for the today and home screen which is all I really need. For those with the full version do you have an icon anywhere. The trial only reflects an Enable or Disable option from the BB button menu. Just curious, thanks.

I found a neat hide. I was trying to get my "Options" screen to stop auto rotating but I would click "Disable Auto Rotation" and after it would still rotate in the "Options" pages. Well i normally find things by accident and this is true here.
If you want to "Disable Auto Rotation" in the Options pages do this.
Go to Option/Advanced Options/Applications. While viewing applications, click your BB Menu button. Click"Disable Auto Rotation". For some reason now ALL pages in the "Options" will all not auto rotate.
I thought I would share my find.
I love this program btw.
UPDATE:

I have another great find: OrientationLock app, works the exact same way and the bonus is it's FREE!!!
Here is the link: FreeBBApp
The downside of all these (3 so far) apps, is none of them save after a battery pull, so you would have to redo the settings....and the second downside, they don't work on most 3rd party apps besides what came with the BB....but I still love this app!!!
Wow, great find. I will have to give this a shot. Thanks for the post!
I think this app may need its own thread, what do you guys think?
Just so everyone knows StopTilt has been updated from version 1.0.0.14 to 2.7.0.14 and even though it went from Version 1 to version 2 it is a free upgrade
With the new version it now remembers your setting after reboot![]()
a new version is out 2.2.1.14 that now works with .151 ;D
