New SocialScope Update Adds Torch and BlackBerry 6 Support
Now I realize that there are a lot of you out there that do not have SocialScope, but for those of you that do. SocialScope pushed out a new version that adds support for the BlackBerry Torch and BlackBerry 6 late last night. According to their blog post they ended up having to re-write a majority of the code. Now I myself do not own a BlackBerry Torch, but I do have a BlackBerry Storm2 and have received the update as well.
Here are some of the new features other than the fact they now support BlackBerry 6:
- Swipe left and right to switch tabs
- When reading a message swipe left and right to switch message
- Double tap a tab icon to go to the top of the message list
- Search twitter from your home screen through universal search
- Go to your friend’s profiles from the home screen through universal search
- Crazy fast scrolling
- Super low battery usage
After playing with the new update since last night, I am really impressed with this version. The touch gestures and new screen transitions are nice. The only thing that would not work for me is double tap icon to get to the top of your message list, could be something for the BlackBerry Torch or a bug.
Now if they integrated a RSS reader into the app then SocalScope would be light years ahead of the BlackBerry 6 Social Feeds app and truly be your ‘Social Inbox’.

SocialScope and BlackBerry Torch
I just installed the latest the version of SocialScope on my BlackBerry Torch and I get an error message when launching the application.
