Bolt Browser Now with Flash and HTML5 Support
Bitstream the makers of the Bolt Browser announced today that they have released version 2.3 of the Bolt Browser client. Offering full desktop PC-style browsing on all types of mobile phones, view streaming flash or HTML5 videos from sites like YouTube, MySpace and MTV.
Some of the other features include:
- Enjoy Twitter and Facebook widgets with BOLT’s web app platform
- Easily switch between multiple sites with tabbed browsing
- Post to your Facebook or Twitter account directly from BOLT while you browse
- Backup your favorites in the cloud
I have to admit that the prior releases did not stay on my BlackBerry for long, but this version I am really liking so far and since my current BlackBerry will not be getting BlackBerry 6 and the WebKit browser this is looking like a great alternative.
To download the Bolt Browser on your device head on over to Bolt Browser on your BlackBerry.

It's not full flash support is it? I just tried the 'demo' they had on their website and was told it needed flash when visiting a flash website.

I think there are some sites out there that it will not fully work with, however I have used it on a lot of flash enabled sites and it streamed just fine.

Anyone else find that its almost impossible to hover over a link with a trackpad? The scrolling is so jerky that it just skips over most links.
Edit: already deleted it off my phone. The useability isn't very good. I couldn't complete the "media wizard" because I couldn't click "finished". Went to Youtube afterwards and I was stuck in an endless cycle of "press play to start" then "connecting" then "press play to start" then "connecting" etc etc.
I will wait for OS6

Yeah, deleted this about ten minutes after loading. Was never a fan of Bolt and with every release they have put out, I don't think I ever will. Opera is still the best yet!
