Hey adm....I had the same problem with it as well and got lucky when I downloaded one of the hybrids. It asked if I wanted to use BBSAK and I clicked yes and lo and behold it worked for me on windows 7

Is your question if it will work on Windows 7? Because it will.

yeah thats my question, and good to hear it does but won't connect to my blackberry though.

Adm...does your bb connect to DM?

yeah it does, thats why i don't get it. obviously you have to have DM closed when using BBSAK.

I would try deleting the current BBSAK and then reinstalling it. You have probably already tried this but try it once more. It's not making any sense. Mind you, I was having the same problem on windows 7 and like I said, when loading a Lyricidal hybrid, I was asked if I wanted to run BBSAK and for ****s and giggles I clicked yes, and it worked!

I haven't had an issue. The only time I had an issue with windows 7 was a bad USB cable. The other one I found is sometimes the power manager in 7 will try to set the current drawn by the USB device. That has to be disabled manually. Not sure if thats the case however.

yeah i have tried that a few times, still not working. i thought maybe installing an older version would fix it...can't find a working link anywhere though.

for some reason I had to ensure it was connected to the internet when i ran it (when i had this problem).
It only happened then but worked when I was connected to the net, but now works no problem.

thats on a Win 7 machine running 64 bit.

i had to run as administrator, what you have to do is download then right click on it select properties and then select compatibility and then select run as administrator click apply and then ok and you should be set. you just have to do this once on windows 7 64 bit. hope this helps.

Hmm I've tried the "run as administrator" option a few times, but that was after I had already installed the program. Would it make a difference to set that before installing?

Yes, running as administrator makes a big impact. What you should do is uninstall it, and reinstall it, but not normally, run it as an administrator this time.
