Besides not being able to click any prompts or have any interaction on the screen, it seeems to work pretty well. mfg:

Try this...do a battery pull and read my post ...2 posts up. The issues you are having are similar, and/or, maybe exactly what I was having. DO NOT do Voice Search...or search maps from the options...hold down green phone button while looking at the map screen. The battery pull should reset your app and allow you to pan. Let us know how this works for you.

This did not help. I did a battery pull, then opened Google Maps, DID NOT hit the BB button, I hit the Green phone button....... Voice Search DOES work. That is not the issue. When the voice search completes, I can not click on or pan around like i used to, which is handy to do. I cannot click on the screen to specify driving directions either.

Are there some permissions I need to edit specifically that is not allowing me to do this? :17:

That works for me. My permissions are all set to ALLOW. This update is new to all of us, and hopefully, someone will address this issue and find a fix.

I've put in a help request to the "team"...keep an eye on this thread.

The speach search and type search both work fine on my 9500.
No problems what so ever.
Found the location very quickly
Pan and search are cool too.
Not tried the Nav yet as it doesnt work here in Trinidad anyway.

Bales, try uninstalling, battery pull, reinstall, battery pull.
Thats what I usually do if an app doesnt work.
If that doesnt fix it, something is missing from your base OS.

anyone has that app as cod/jad or cod/alx or jad/jar?

I give up. I dont use it that often too worry about it for too long. It would be nice, but I just removed Google Maps and went to the nice Bing Application. It can do voice search and everything else Google can do.

Ill throw the next Google Maps update on and try it out, but for now, Im binging.

I tried loading Google Maps again this weekend after it has been removed from my phone for awhile. After this install, everything is working great!! I dont know what happened the first time I upgraded it, but now it works!

Just wanted to let you guys know. Must have just been a fluke.
