Thread: Blackberry App World updates to v1.1.0.33

Blackberry App World has an upgrade available to v1.1.0.33

I loaded this but I cannot tell what the differences are. The app seems to run a bit faster, and I noticed that if I leave the app using the escape key, it does not stay running in the background now. I have looked for a change log, but to no avail. Still, if you are an "App World" user, you should probably upgrade. To upgrade go to

Seems to load faster, but that's probably because it hasn't started filling up the device cache...

Not the RED End key...but to left of that...the Escape key.

Hit the RED End key and BB Appworld is still running in the background. Hit the white Escape key, and now it does not run in the background. I do believe it did on previous version.

Ok, it can be terminated, it does not consume too much of cache(?) ... but are there real benefits in using it?

i had to redownload BB app world this morning and i got it rite from the BB site and its still .24 or something like that

Ups? Really, still the old version? That's more than odd!

I was able to follow the link in the original post with my BlackBerry browser and received the updated version no problem. I would try that.

i have got rid of it alltogether.
Its nothing but a waste of memory on my storm.
I can get most programs from BBOS store or other stores on the net or even the original maker site.
Why have it? I dont believe it made my life any easier?
If you can give me some really good reasons I might consider it again, but I dont think you can???

updated but every time I click on the app it locks up my phone and I have to reboot to get outof it.

Have you tried to delete the app and then download it again ? I had really good luck with it when i downloaded it this morning.

I've delete the old one even the new after installing it but it still locks up my phone when I try to use it.

There are some apps that can not be downloaded or bought anywhere else.. one of the top of my head is last.fm. that was enough of a reason for me to keep it and only use it when I know there is something that can only be gotten there
