Tell Me The Time!
Okay guys, so I was talking back a few weeks ago about making a BlackBerry application that would easily show you the time. I've finally got it made and ready to be unleashed. The application adds the current time to the top of your menu, anywhere with an application.
It is free - I will not charge for it.
OTA: Type http://www.dinemein.com/TellMeTheTime/ in you're BB Browser.
DM: Download from Here - Mediafire V1.0
DM: Download From Here - Mediafire V1.1
Please note: If the time is different from your current set time - a battery pull will fix it.
UPDATE:: From now on the OTA link is Version 1.1. What this means is that it has been updated to auto start on device reboot. I think that is a required feature that I have updated the application for. Enjoy
If you enjoy the app and want to support me, then you can donate here:
Thank you all and I hope you enjoy!!

Thanks for sharing this Shimmy. It's works as advertised!
One suggestion. Any way to make it go to the alarm clock when the time is pressed in the menu?
Great idea! I'll look into it

Well done. I remember a couple of weeks back reading you were gonna do this. Mission accomplished. I respect your determination. I'm sure this will come in handy for a lot of folks fooling around on the internet during lunch breaks n all. As for me I'm retired so more often than not I could care less about the time. Just want to give you some props and looking forward to some other things you may have brewing up.
Nice job on a very convenient utility. I've noticed a few inconsistencies but they are minor.
On the 9530 with Natemz BlakNBlu theme running, the time appears in the "CLOSE" menu box (on some screens) when in Weather Berry. But it does appear at the "top" on other screens within this same app.
Also, does not appear to work at all in Meterberry menus. All this is just for information. It's a GREAT little utility and I totally appreciate the work and time that you put into it. Thank you for sharing!
ShimmyShine this Utility is great and you recevied rep from the Jrod!!!
One suggestion. Like Nate said maybe when you click on it have it go to clock. But also is there a way to make it the highest thing on the list. Mine shows under about 3 other things in my list. I can post a picture later...
Cool, your app already made it into CrackBerry and BerryReview!

Funny how this can be done by someone NOT employed by RIM, but they couldn't be bothered with it....Good job!
This app is great! Working wonderfully on my Bold 9000. Thanks and great job!
Ah, front page stuff!
One question, the app has to be restarted after a batt pull or power off?! Any change to make it a kind of auto start (with options)?
PS: You're programming BB apps without a BB in your hand? WOW, kudos!

And yeah, No BB yet.. I want one but I'm living off of the simulators right now..
Nah, the whole economy thing is taking a big hit on my family.. That's why my dad said i was not the brightest to release the application for free - I just felt people would show support by donating and saying thanks - that and I'm tired of everyone releasing an application thinking they are entitled to be paid for it.. Some apps should be free whether you want money or not.. :P 2.0 I can't guarantee will be free though, but I can also guarantee it won't be more than $2..
But I think, it is great marketing the way it is right now. People get to know your app and therefore should be more than willing to pay a small amount - hey, < $2 is a small amount - for an upgraded version!
