IM+ Lite for BlackBerry released! Free ad supported version.

Many of you are aware of the the app IM+ Instant Messenger. You might also be aware of the hefty price tag that comes along with it. Developer Shape Services has now came out with an ad supported free version called IM+ Lite. IM+ Lite gives you access to MSN®, Yahoo!®, Google Talk™, AIM®, Jabber®, ICQ®, Facebook®, MySpace, Skype™ and Twitter all in one handy app. This is a feature rich app for sure. The lite version doesn't support speech recognition and push notifications like the paid version does, but hey it's FREE! If you haven't tried IM+ in the past then I suggest giving it a shot. You can read the full press release here.

Cool beans, but I'm not understanding something. The Lite version does not support push notifications - does that mean we have to open up the app every time we want to see if we have any new IMs?

It works fine. Just doesn't compare to UberTwitter.

So I'll still get the alert/vibrate/noise that I received a new IM, despite it being the lite version? Sorry if I'm asking redundant/absurd questions, but the description of the lite features was a little vague to me :laugh2:
