SpeakWrite, the voice to text application for Blackberry.
SpeakWrite is an extremely popular transcription service, that has just gone mobile. Vlingo, another voice to text application, is currently leading this market on the Blackberry. Maybe the new SpeakWrite app will put Vlingo down and take command.
SpeakWrite's current customer base, of 35,000 individuals, get professional transcripts typed from audio files by trained professionals and delivered to them via email. This whole process takes about three hours. Currently users can use a variety of methods to record and send material, now including several smartphones. This new smartphone App takes SpeakWrite's service to the next level. Now people are able to capture audio and photo images directly on their smartphone. Say you are Teacher and you are working on a class handout, or an Realtor and you need to get a house description to a client you can easily do this with SpeakWrite. Just record what you would like transcribed to text into your smartphone, insert any photos you would like, upload them to SpeakWrite and your done! Its that easy! Next just sit and wait, and you will have the first draft in their email about three hours later.
SpeakWrite is a free Application allowing users to Record Audio, of any length, and upload it to SpeakWrite servers. This app also has the ability to transcribe data. Just like current SpeakWrite users, using the app you can submit audio files to SpeakWrite, and receive a transcribed document back within a few hours. Using images and dictation, SpeakWrite can take your dictated notes and phones taken with you smartphone and turn them into files with the comments and photos integrated into a single word processing file. Lastly, you can record telephone calls on your smartphone and receive complete written transcriptions of conversations.
SpeakWrite's consumers already can use many types of devices to record and send audio data, however now you can use a Smartphone application.
Awesome. I have many friends who use transcription services. I will be referring this software to them!!
Cool app but would also be cool to get instant voice to text for short messages for texts or something.
That's the niche that Vlingo has.

This almost sounds like a mashup of Vlingo and Evernote.
