Curb Unwanted Calls With Call Control for Blackberry
The Kedlin Company, based out of Seattle, Wash announced today the launch of Call Control for Blackberry® smart phones. Call Control is the first application for Blackberry that effectively eliminates unwanted telephone calls by synchronizing with a user-generated Community Blacklist of spam callers. Call Control comes preloaded with thousands of telemarketers, bill collectors, and other spam callers and calls flagged as spam are disconnected automatically.
Call Control Features
- Simple and Effective. Call Control stops thousands unwanted calls without the user having to key in individual telephone numbers.
- Automatically Updated. Call Control stays up to date with new spam callers by updating your Blackberry on a daily basis.
- Report Unwanted Calls. If a spam call does get through, users can easily report the call and instantly block it from calling again.
- Block Unknown and Private Callers. Callers with a restricted Caller ID are also blocked from calling.
Call Control is currently available for Blackberry and comes in two flavors, a free Lite version and a paid Pro version for $7.99. The free version is designed to give users a taste of the app while the Pro version is fully featured.

Will the free version work well too or is just a teaser so to speak

Interesting, but I have a manual way of handling unwanted calls. Currently on my BB for the calls I don't want, in my contacts I put them them in my SPAM contact (with a picture of spam!) and have a "silent" ringer.

Hey everyone, my name is Ben and I'm one of the developers of Call Control. I saw the write up on BlackberryOS.com and wanted to answer the questions posed in the forum.
The free version of Call Control is fully functional with the following limits:
1.) Limited to 5 blacklist/whitelist entries
2.) One-time limited update of the Community Blacklist
Other than that all of the report spam, private/unknown number blocking, etc. are all included and there is no limit to the number of times a call is blocked, etc.
We hope that you all like our app and let us know if you've got any questions! You can email us at support@everycall.us
Thanks!
