Thread: Slacker 3.0 released in the US!

I kinda like it but kinda don't...

I am 50/50 at this point.

Cool thing about this also is you don't have to create your own station if you can't think of what you want...

For example: I wanted Xmas music a few months ago. (yea, you got a problem with that??? lol) But if you type in Xmas music in Pandora, you get Marriah Carry Xmas album station (??? WTF HELL NO! NOT what I meant!). But in Slacker, there were a few different xmas music stations already made so I got the old jazzy type that I wanted.

Another plus of the premade stations: I never think of searching for stand up comedy (which I love), but there are some comedy stations in Slacker that play some good stuff!

That does it for me. I won't be upgrading anytime soon. Just took the one thing away from Slacker that beat the rest.

Love the wireless caching. Something is buggy with this release though. Slacker has rebooted multiple times.

I see them adding back the "sync when connected to PC" feature real soon. They're gonna lose a lot of users, if they haven't already. When I upgrade my OS, I'm going back to the older version. Gotta think about my battery life & caching helps a lot.

Something I have noticed with this build that thoroughly pisses me off. If you listen to slacker for a long period. Like an hour or so. It will pop up this add that asks if you want to upgrade to plus. It stops the music until you click no thanks. That is only one of the things that pa shying me away from slacker slowly.

Back to Pandora for me. I can't even play the cache station without having the paid version.
