    Kindle for Blackberry

It's officially two months to the day that Amazon announced that the Kindle for BB would be "Coming Soon." I don't know about everyone here, but I'm excited.

However, it seems to me that "soon" should have meant it would be here by now. Am I just impatient, or is Amazon delaying the release for strategic reason? :dunno:

(If you don't agree with me about the definition of "soon," see what happens when you tell your wife/girlfriend/whatever that you'll take her on a special date "soon" and then wait two months.)

Ugg, this is cool but as more devices come to market to compete with the Kindle, I don't know that I would pick one up. Sounds like the Barns & Noble reader is supports more open formats. Being able to transfer my books to my BB would be sweet however... *sigh*

This sounds like a pretty cool addition to the BB universe. I will definately check it out when us Canadians see it.

Just dl it and it is sweet, click the side and it goes to the next page. Tons of free books. You must set up a credit card to get access though and it only took 1min or so to dl the book. It is very easy on the eyes..LOVE IT, so far, so good!!

Yep, I agree it is very nice. I am a long time Amazon user so it logged right into my account. Seems to work very well. No scrolling on the screen either. Just click and moves forward. Add bookmarks, make text as big or as small as you want. Highly recommend.

I'm liking it. I have a Storm - and so far, it's portrait only. Is there a way to enable it in landscape? Landscape is just more comfortable for me.

Very slick. I loaded and tried it. I have been a user of Mobipocket and this is just as good, if not better, especially with the selection. I just wish I could import the Mobipocket books I purchased into the Kindle app

    ... wait a second....

    Note: I'm new to Kindle.

Where is anything downloaded/synced/whatever stored? Can anyone see where you specify to store to your SD card?

I just got the lovely white screen that tells you, "Hey silly - you have way too much stuff on your phone, what do you want to delete?" And Kindle was like 21153kb or some ungodly number.

My application memory was down to 1.6. Yes, 1.6. Ouch!

Just connect your device to your PC and copy your mobi ebooks into the /kindle/eBooks/ folder of your memory card.

Funny, isn't it, you are ask for it, and it is there. Could you please ask for the new browser, too

Its a great pity its only available in the US.
Also not all devices are supported. Like the 9500 for instance.

Come on RIM / Kindle get your acts together, you know how long we have been waiting for this!!!

I know, right. It was literally only a few hours from my posting to the announcement email from Amazon. So the question is: Should I use my powers to fight crime or for pure evil?
