    Blackberry Webkit revealed at the Mobile World Congress

    Here it is folks, and boy does it look impressive. Wonder if this could leak similar to BBM 5.0.

    People are saying maybe at WES. Gives us more to look forward to.

    Hopefully it's compatible with all versions of OSes. Can't wait to try this out.

    Yes! Just yesterday I was wondering when BB would do this and BAM! Today is a great day in the BB world. I cannot wait to try this it seems so much faster and better than the browser now. I have a feeling BB is gonna be the place to be in the near future! Does anyone know when this is going to be released?

    I'm really hopeful too. The browser is still the part of my phone I'm least happy with. I'm about to jump ship to Android, but this and VZWs LTE remarks may keep me in my current phone until I get more info. Here's hoping this new browser is all they make it out to be.

    Better and better!

    What Blackberry needs now is a revamped Operating System...I get so jealous whenever i see companies like Google, Apple, and even Microsoft reiventing the wheel with their OS's... come to think of it... almost all the major smartphone players have a new OS out... (Nokia with Meamo... Samsung with Bada... Microsoft with Windows phone 7...etc)

    I'm a big fan of blackberry but man... give us something to get really excited about RIM! give us a new OS! I must say though that this new browser is a definate step in the right direction!

    This would be awesome if they finally release a Webkit browser!! It might crush Bolt or Opera, but it would be nice to have it directly in the system.

    I can't wait until they release this. I think this will make blackberry sell even more than it is now.

    The acid3 test on my current storm only got 26. LOL!

    This looks amazing. I'm most psyched by the zooming in and out without re-rendering the whole page. Whoo-hoo!

    In the words of RIM this year.. so that would mean sometime before 2020 lol. In all honesty there hasnt been much info leaked abuot the when or where it will be released, the only thing we know for sure which is freaking great is it will work on the existing OS!

    Arrow Preview: BlackBerry WebKit Browser in Action!

    YouTube - BlackBerry WebKit Browser Demo @ MWC 2010

    This Mobile World Congress 2010 is shaping up to be pretty sweet. RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis’ keynote speech starting off with a preview of RIM’s upcoming WebKit Browser in action! The new WebKit browser loads web pages very fast and effectively. The new browser will support:

    * HTML 5
    * CSS3
    * DOM L3

    Unfortunately there is no details as to when the BlackBerry WebKit browser will launch, but I can tell you we’re very excited… What are your thoughts on the upcoming Browser?
