Exciting App Release: BerryBlab

This an impressive app release. BerryBlab, which recently hit shelves, is packing what you forum crawlers will go berserk for. It offers any vBulliten forums with the BerryBlab add on installed the opportunity to be viewed through a quicker more organized layout compared to the mobile view.

BerryBlab comes packed with all of the basics and then some. It allows all of the basic features. A small list of the features BerryBlab offers:

• You can have multiple forums, which provides for easy access to each of your vBulliten forums (IE: Our very own BBOS).
• You can easily navigate through the forum's contents. Working your way through the categories/posts hasn't been easier (Unless you're on your PC/Mac).
• You can read and respond to personal messages.
• You can view the latest posts.

Of course, the basics yet that is just a few of the features it offers. Granted this release is only Version 1 - it is still a highly anticipated app release. In the foreseeable future, I can't image people using mobile vBulliten forums anymore. This truly is one app that will pay back more than you payed.

The app sells for 2.99 in our BBOS store with a 5 star rating. Another excellent feat. that this app offers is that it works on a vast range of Blackberry's. It works on both keyboard (OS 4.5 and above, 8100 and above) and touch screen (OS 4.7 and above) phones! As far as i know it is not compatible with all forums, but only the ones that have some extra extension installed that gives access to BerryBlab.. Please correct me if i'm wrong, since i tried their free beta version and not this final one...

You're 100% correct. It's not difficult though, if you have a forum you want to be able to view - just contact the administrator. Most forum administrators will abide considering they want a bigger community and this helps them to expand.

The app is okay. But the one thing that ruined it for me was the lack of basic Blackberry shortcuts and functions. Such as double spacing for a period.

Yeah, that is one down side but I would image they will work on it for future upgrades. Other than that, I love it! It is a must-have for all blackberry related forums!

I'm waiting for the BB version of TapaTalk which is coming out end of Feb and judging from the Android and iPhone versions is a much much better app...

I've been using this for 2 days now & it does have all the regular blackberry shortcuts, ie, double spacing for periods, spacebar for next page, etc.... Maybe you were using an earlier version of a beta? Either way, this application is really great for us "forum crawlers"!!!

I am glad your site chose to use it. Some of the larger sites refuse to use it because of claimed security flaws

What type of Flaws. I have been looking into this and I cants see any flaws that pop up.
Maybe they are just being lazy? who knows!

Nothing is 100% secure - when people worried about "security" flaws learn that, they will sleep better at night. The only difference is severe and not so severe security flaws..

For example - someone hacks facebook and gets all of the passwords - yeah big security flaw.

OR

People figured out the javascript to invite all of their friends to a group/page - not so big security flaw. So they don't bother fixing it as it just makes it convenient for their pages.

Sounds like a cool app. I will give it a whirl.

To my knowledge BBOS, BBLeaks, BBHybrids, CB and a few others are loaded with BerryBlab...

I am using it and its pretty cool. its fast too. And its one app, compared to multiple launchers.

This will catch on quick and be big!

Seems like a cool app. I'd rather just nav to the website.

Hope they add their support for IPB soon.

Are any other BerryBlab users experiencing login issues? I cannot get BerryBlab to log me into any of my forums I visit and if I luck out and do get logged in, as soon as I go to a sub forum I am magically logged out. I really like this app but if it doesn't work 90% of the time it isn't worth it. I've searched the forums and haven't came across any other posts about this. I can't be the only one with this issue, can I?

I dont use the app so I am not sure.. but I did merge your thread with an existing berryblab one so that you would get a better result in help :D
