BOLT browser to be updated to version 1.7

The ever popular BOLT browser is to be updated to version 1.7 on Feb 15.
The new version will now allow the use of widgets this will give the new version increased user functionality. Users will be able to find, select and install specific applications through BOLT widget galleries. This will leave a list of icons that will be easy for the user to find and navigate.
Bolt mobile browser is compatible with over 4 billion mobile phones and has the ability to support streaming video from sources like Youtube and Myspace. The new BOLT browser will be showcased at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Feb 15-18.
With this update to the BOLT browser hopefully this will not only give increased usability but correct a lot of user complaints.

as long as they make it storm friendly and add auto pull up for keyboard.

this is my beef with this browser... yes its fast but the time i save is replaced with pulling up the keyboard.

That's odd, I always thought of this browser as slow. It seems to hang on my 9700 at 20 percent every time. I find the native browser and Mini 5 to be much faster.
Well time to reinstall and see if its better.

it hangs on mine at 20% too? i wonder if thats the data carriers problem?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to zoom in on BOLT?

I have a problem in my eye at the moment and have trouble seeing things too small.:22:

Even with all the changes in OS 5, Bolt has consistently worked when Opera hasn't.

I currently have the browser. I think its faster and works better than Opera. I miss tabbed browsing but the usability of the Bolt is much better.. Would love to see a list of changes with this new update

I love Bolt. It is the only browser that can handle complex ASP based pages at work. I do wish it had more of the zoom functionality of Opera rather than the split screen

Lovin 1.62, can't wait to try 1.7. I even marked my calendar for the release. Yes, I probably do need help! :1244:

I tried bolt one both my Storm 1 and Storm 2 and didn't care for it either time. It seemed to be less user friendly, and like other posters have said, didn't always work. However, if the features like youtube actually work, I will definitely consider giving this another shot.

I'm super excited. I always prefered Mini Opera to Bolt but the last one was getting better. Hopefully this time it will be awesome. Plus having that option of making it a native browser would be phenomenal.
