    VZW Launches VZ Navigator 5.0

    VZW today launched VZ Navigator 5.0 for the Blackberry Curve 8530 only...so far, ( they say it will be available on additional devices in the coming weeks).

    Available from Verizon Wireless for $9.99 / mo or $2.99 for a day.

    Has Facebook integration, Roadside Assistance, and Streaming data along with an updated easy-to-use interface.

    Downloaded today on my Storm 9550. If your a Verizon navigator user, you may want to check to see if your device is covered in this latetest release?

    Amazing...the VZW press release from 2/2 stated only available for the curve 8530...go figure!! :irked:

    Great App

    It just cant compete with free though. I love Google Maps.

    The application gets pushed to your device by VZW as a launcher.
    Once you enable the launcher you will need to purchase the subscription for the service.

    Talking VZ Navigator

    If I'm going to pay for a GPS service on my phone, I want as much bang for my buck as possible and I want to spend as few of those bucks as possible. That's why I went with TelNav. It's not nearly as expensive, especially when purchased long term, I bought a 4-year deal. It works great and I can use it on different BBs if I switch phones. As a matter of fact I already did. Purchased the app when I had my Storm and had no problems using it on my Tour after I upgraded. :1244:
