Google Mobile App Updated; Now Allows You to Search Your BlackBerry
Today Google released an improved version of Google Mobile App for BlackBerry. What's so great about this new version is it allows you to search for email and contacts on your BlackBerry. This certainly makes the app more useful. All you have to do is type, or speak, the name, or a phrase from an email, and Google Mobile App will search your contacts and email.
The improvements don't end there. You can do more than simply search your email or address book. You can also quickly reply, and forward to a message. Google Mobile App really does a nice job of integrating into your BlackBerry. If you type the first few letters of a name, and press the corresponding button, you can easily call, email, or SMS the contact you are searching.
Another new feature is the ability to use your BlackBerry's WiFi connection to access the internet. Of course, if you would simply rather Google Mobile App search the internet, instead of your device, you can turn off Phone Search in the options screen. Be aware that Google Mobile App, however will not work for the Storm.

I just tried it and it doesn't seem to search my phone, only the web.
Anything I should be doing?

One of the articles I read about this had only stated it didn't work with the Storm 2...
I read that same article.
It had not said anything about not working with the Storm1.
That figures! Only because that's what I have !! :biglaugh:
