Thread: Storm 9550 Reply, Forward, Edit software?

The current iteration of "Forward with Edit" (I think that's the name) is not compatible with 5.0 OS above .312. Does anyone know of another app solution?

You mean the Fixmo beta tools? If so, this specific function is working on my OS 5 S1 like a charm, appears in the menu of every single account, but of course there are some things: sent emails can only be 'forwarded with edit" and (so far?) it allows you to change text of emails only, so errors popping up in case of full html-picture frame driven originals.

the problem with fixmo is it is a battery HOG... I have tried it twice now and man was it a killer, and all I want to use it for is the email editor. I konw there was an app out there that let you do that.. TM I am with you... Need something different

Ok, got it, although I do not have such a power drain with Fixmo - I guess TM was talking about this one then: BlackBerry App World - Forward Reply and Edit
which seems to be v.1.1 - while the author has released a v.1.3 on his site already: OTA for 1.3

upd: and it seems to work fine here!

RIght breti, that is the one TM was referring to that does not work on 5.0 over .312 we had both thought there was another app out there

but v 1.3 is working here on 425/436

I am trying it now.. I dont know if TM didnt see this version or not.. I just know Fixmo was cool but was way to hard on my battery

found it in the DL folder and upon first activation it requires to send info about it to a friend...

Not sure how I like this one either... not intergrated so you have to click an extra step to make it reply with edit. Thats what was nice about the fixmo thing is that all you had to do was reply

only first time, after you've send the notification to a friend, it's integrated in the email menus...quite similar to the fixmo solution...

No you still ahve to hit menu reply with edit or forward with edit. Fixmo all you had to do was reply

LOL thanks for the help.. it is going to work for now but wish there was something better or more.

Just downloaded 1.3. I didn't see this before. But I didn't care for fixmo.

Well, I prefer some of their functions over other apps, but never mind, glad, that 1.3 might work out for you!

I just wish there was something with full intergration. So you don't have to hit the bbkey just the buttons at the bottom.

Yep, would be nice, tried to find something, but gave up after some 15 min - if there's something out, it's a least not easy to find...

Yea I know there were a few back when it was 4.7. But I think most developers have up. This should be a native function of the berry

Definitely, I was quite surprised, when I tried to reply my first email...no to say: completely frustrated!

I installed the version from the dev's site and it's a no go for me, unless I'm missing something. It opens the "Reply" or "Reply All" box, but when selected, nothing else happens.
