While searching the net, I came across a new website promoting a new subscription based tool to monitor the phone of your child, Protector by Taser, the stun gun maker. The app recently announced on CES should be available this summer. It is all about preventing from texting while driving (additional car kit required), monitoring, preventing, and even listening to incoming and outgoing calls. But it is said, that when listening in on a call, it is going to be announced to both parties. Moreover, the content of the phone can be screened for inappropriate content and/or language, e.g. in videos, pictures or emails. The phone can even be disabled temporarily. Last but not least, GPS functionality allows for emergency locating the child (or at least its phone). What's your opinion on this app? Do we need this much control, or is this the app, you've always been waiting for?

... and I am not so sure, if this is THE solution, what about all the other PC driven possibilities... I like the GPS emergency rescue and the don't text and drive - I think/hope, that a lot - if not all - should be up to the parents establishing a good and trustful relationship...
