A ton of companies are unveiling their latest and greatest gadget or software this week at CES. In October, Slacker Radio mentioned they were hard at work developing version 3.0 of their radio streaming software. CNET got a little preview for us of the new version at CES.
The biggest new feature is caching. When Slacker Radio caches music, it stores the music on your microSD card. Once a station is cached, you can sync it by choosing to "refresh cached stations." To take advantage of caching, you'll need a subscription to Slacker's premium Radio Plus service. Though, you can try it out for free before committing to a subscription.
Look for Slacker Radio version 3.0 to be available in a few weeks.
