Fixmo Tools for BlackBerry: Beta testers wanted

In case you haven't heard of it already, Fixmo is a new company being in the starting blocks to enter the BB app market. They have developed a tool-set of utilities you might have been missing for a long time. Right now, they are looking for beta testers giving them feedback on Fixmo Tools, which according to their claims is making your smartphone even smarter.

    Features

    • Undelete to recover accidentally erased email, pin messages, calendar events, tasks, and memos.
    • Flame Retardant to warn you if you are about to flame someone in your email.
    • Phone Silencer to keep your phone quiet during meetings e.g. by tracking calendar appointments.
    • Forward/Reply with Edit to edit an email message when you reply to it or attempt to forward it.
    • Battery and Memory Watch, both with alert function.

Shortly after installation you will receive an email explaining a bit more about the current beta and the functions of this growing tool-set, that still has some greyed out icons as placeholders for additional utilities. If you want to participate in the (free) beta test you can find the direct download for all major devices including Storm and Storm 2 here:

Just sent the link to my phone will be downloading shortly, most of these functions are already addressed in other apps but it would be nice to have all in one!

As well, I am downloading this to help test. Everybody knows what a short temper I have and flame retardant is right up my alley!

Since I've installed it I cannot send a single email...not, just kidding, but this part of the app should be very useful for me as well

All kidding aside, this app has done exactly what it said it would do. I have not seen any issues with memory leaks or screen freezes using this product, nor have there been strange things happening with my device. The UI is easy and sets up without too much difficulty, and, like I said before, it does exactly what the developer says it will do.

I've had no issues at all with this. From what I've tried, everything has worked and done what it's supposed too. I did notice after I installed, my App Memory dropped a bit. Didn't slow my device down so no big deal. I also sent a couple ideas in so we'll see how it goes. Like Bugly, I love the Quick Silence. One of the things I addressed to them was for a notification or countdown timer on the homescreen. Something that shows it's activated since you can set it to a convenience key. Sucks to hit the key and and not know it.

Yep, send feedback to them as well. Love the undelete function and the silencer... please keep in mind to check the undelete function from time to time, since it holds back at least 20 (or was it even 30) of your emails/messages/contacts from being wiped.

Great app...love the "all-in-one" way these functions were combined in one place. Have found it to be very useful in my dailyy BB life.

Glad you like it, if possible, send them feedback, since they are in the beta phase requiring our input. Thanks!

So what does that mean? After undeleteing 20 messages, it's not going to work anymore?

No, not at all, but to limit it resource consumption they only 'save for undel' your most recent 20 messages that you have deleted. So older ones will be replaced by the newer ones - so a kind of 'first in - last out'

Has anyone with MeterBerry (or just watching battery use) seen a difference with this app installed in battery drain?

I tried it, it ate my battery. Nepperz ... same thing. I'm trying to find a solution that works for me on .320.

Had an older version of MB running in parallel, and still no special batt. issues; should I send them some feedback <they've read my berry already>....

Na, never ever will tell her that, posted that suggestion to fixmo also ... I could imagine that they will add at least a re-boot on one of the blank icons, and suggested to give us a 'wipe berry button' as well

No telling at this point, but breiti probably nailed it on the head with his idea. And wife? Two words. Duct tape.

I have Meterberry installed and battery life hasn't changed at all. I'm still at about 2% an hour. I'm using the .428/.436 Hybrid so maybe that's why.
