    Default Ubertwitter Beta 6 coming soon with autocomplete!


    A few weeks ago we all got a little taste of the latest and greatest UberTwitter pre-release. Well now they are up to version .941 and things just keep getting better and better! Aside from a lot of 'under the hood' improvements, the current TEST release now has the feature I've been wanting forever: Autocomplete! On startup the app will retrieve and retain your friends list. When you type an '@' when composing a tweet it will popup a list of your friends for your selection.


    Here is the new timeline view from the .941 pre-release with (customizable) tabs! PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ONLY THE UNPOLISHED, PRELIMINARY VERSION! Right now they are playing around with different features and making performance tweaks. Be assured that the next official version released to the public will be much cleaner and sexy looking!

    UPDATE: Latest test release is .943 and now you can edit your profile and change avatars from UT. Target release date to the public is Jan. 3rd!

    It's still in the testing phase right now. This version with autocomplete was just released yesterday to the testers. In addition to this, they are still working on getting saved searches, avatar upload, and profile updates in there along with twitlonger. You'll be able to change your profile and profile pic from UT (Ms. LaneyP would have loved this! :laugh2

    Some contenders are Social Scope (you need an invite - good luck with that!) and Tweet Genius (costs $$$).

    I've personally always preferred UT because it has all the features I like and they update frequently. You just gotta try em all and see what's best for you.

    In my personal opinion, once the latest update is available to the public no one will be able to touch UT.

    You know you can customize those tabs too.

    Keep in mind that the UI for these test versions are a little raw because that's one of the last things they work on before releasing.
