    Vodafone Update App for Blackberry!

Yesterday BBOS member olta777 had some news of a Blackberry native Twitter app in testing.
I have just seen on the Twitter boards that Vodafone is updating their version of a native twitter app called Vodafone Update App to be compatible with 5.0 OS's .
Right now the app is only being supported for the Blackberry Bold and Curve II devices. Sign in to your Twitter account and update your status, as well as your Facebook accounts. Post tweets, send and receive direct messages. Everything you need for a Twitter app including posting your photos to your social networks.

Here is Vodafone's link to their new Twitter App.

    Sorry Z,

I'm with Verizon and I currently use SocialScope and TweetGenius.

This app has been out for about 2 months now. I tried it out for the Storm. It was decent but I didn't like certain things (can't remember them all now). When it was running there is always a notification icon on the home screen, even if you don't have a new message. Also, it would cut off posts on the sides (I think this is because it wasn't designed for the Storm yet).

VZW has a similar app for the Curve II and some standard handsets called Social Beat. I am waiting for the Storm version to come out. I have yet to hear from anyone who has downloaded it for the Curve II. I am interested to hear what they think.

Looks like it's been updated to work with OS 5.0.

Seems like it leaks memory too. Just re-installed it. Haven't had it in long but I am down almost 2MB.

OK, I may have been a bit premature in claiming a memory leak. It seems to have stabilized.

This app also works on the 9630 with 5.0 OS. I have used it on and off for awhile now. hone:
