I am in love with this new app from tafasa!

Its called patternlock. It has come to replace me locking and unlocking my phone with the default top button. rather than tell you all the cool features im going to copy every update this app has had over the last 2 days.

"Introducing PatternLock, the pattern based lock application from Tafasa!

You can use your finger to define a unique pattern on a dot matrix that will secure your device. Only that pattern, and in the order you define, will be able to unlock your BlackBerry. This application is packed with features such as the ability to autolock when the device is inactive, autolock immediately on device startup and you can pick your own backgrounds!

NEW IN VERSION 1.0.3 -------------------------------- - Added the option to enable a sound when the screen unlocks (will not play if your device is on Vibrate, Alerts Off, or Silent) - Added 1 second to the choices of inactivity times for autolocking - Added the option to secure your pattern with a password. If a password is enabled, then when you view your options in the BlackBerry global options screen, you won't be able to see the pattern until you input your password. - Added the option to set a maximum number of failed attempts. When the maximum number is reached, the device will "lock you out". This means you will not be able to input a pattern and the message "Locked Out" will appear. You can choose how long to "lock out" the device when the maximum number of tries is reached.

NEW IN VERSION 1.0.4 -------------------------------- - If you have the option set to disable autolock while charging, then when you begin charging your device while PatternLock is enabled, it will unlock itself and then relock automatically when the usb cable is removed. - Call Screen Lock. You can now enable an option to have a call screen lock. This will show a little dialog box that will disable any accidental screen clicks with your face during a call. Just click the escape key to disable the lock during the call, or it will disable automatically when the call is complete. You have the option to set whether the lock should enable immediately or after a certain delay.

NEW IN VERSION 1.0.5.1 ----------------------------------- - Some graphical improvements - Added the ability to enable a sound when an incorrect pattern is entered. This is disabled by default and will not sound if your profile is currently vibrate, alerts off or silent. - Another attempt at getting sounds working for users using the 4.7.0.75 OS

mind you this has all happened in the last 2 days...ive gotten an update email every couple hours and im not sure how much better it can get!

its only $.99 till the 20th and i recommend every storm user get this!

I have enjoyed having this, and even is fun as a game to challenge friends to break into your phone, see how strong your pattern is. It took a friend an hour with even two hints of
1. it's a five dot pattern
2. after a half an hour, giving her the starting dot location

anyone else tried this program? i'm having issues. it wont let me set a lock pattern. i can only select the first the location. in other words; i can only set a 1 press password. thats not very secure! i must b doing something wrong....any help would b appreciated.

This is to accommodate for those who assign it to a convenience key and accidently click the button mid-call. - Added the ability to turn the backlight off immediately when the lock enables. it seems like it only turns off the backlight immediately when the backlight times out on its own. when i hit the lock button(assigned left side button to lock) it still takes the 5sec setting to dim. is yours doing this also? like this program though!

haha the last sentence says it is default set to off. go into the options and find the setting to immediately turn off backlight

NEW IN VERSION 1.0.5.3 ----------------------------------- - Ability to choose to allow voice dialing while PatternLock is enabled. This option is set to no by default. This has been added to accommodate those who use headsets and wish to voice dial.

Nope, not hurting my memory at all in fact, since i added this ( and made a couple of other modifications and removed a couple of other apps ) my memory is higher than ever.
