Thread: Google Talk Issues

Is anyone having issues logging into Google Talk on their 9550? I believe I am using the most recent version of Google Talk but every time I try logging in I get error server time out.

Any ideas?

I'm not 100% on this BUT there are widespread GTalk issues with Android devices right now relating to a server issue. Could be involved.

Working on on VZW, 8530.

I don't this issue is related to that. I have had this issue ever since I had the 9550.

Its shows your logged in. I sent you a message yesterday but you never responded.

Could be a corrupt sys file with in your google app. I would probably remove it from the device, reboot then re install the app. Just a thought though....

On my Eris it works fine, on my BB's not at all :no:

I just Installed gtalk on my 9550 and logged in no problem.

I guess I will have to delete it off my phone and reinstall. What version of GTalk are you using 2.5?

I just opened the link in the stock os this morning.
That is what downloaded. Now i do not think i updated the im's
the last time i could. I generally do not use them. figured i would give it a try to see if i could help you out.

In looking through my installed apps found something called "Reset". Don't know what the heck that is but deleted it rebooted and now Gtalk is working. Thanks for everyone's help.

I have .27 as well. Do you have meterberry installed J? and was it resetstub?

Yeah I have meterberry installed...no it just said "Reset" and when I opened it had reference to browser, phone and some other junk that didn't seem kosher.

the new meterberry installs two apps called reset that it deletes that allows your device to reset.
