Good looking out for us
..........SHAKE N BAKE..........
OK, so far, menu items are much larger and easier to read
Opera link lets you synchronize your bookmarks with your pc, pretty cool.
Tabbed browsing and a download manager
here is the link for the new features:

Works great on my Storm 9530 with Lyricidal hybrid 328/371.

nice find, I like the bigger icons. I think the browser is a little faster as well. BBOS loaded fast
Is this for the Storm?
Cause it doesn't work well on the 9700. I can get in, but can't select anything...
What a drag....
..........SHAKE N BAKE..........
Just downloaded it on my storm 2. Seem a lot faster!
Verizon Blackberry Bold (9630)
O.S. 6.0.0.222
At first review, I see 3 great improvements:
1. bb button engages the bottom menu - in Mini 1 it did nothing.
2. If you click on an OTA link, it opens it and automatically opens the bb browser and downloads the file. In the past you just got a white screen.
3. If there is a link in an email, the left menu now has teo options 1. Open in Native Browser and 2. Open in Opera Mini. This is also huge!!!
My opinion, this is a tremendous improvement. Speed is about the same or faster, but I do not have a good connection here.
However, I am still looking for old bookmarks and speed dials....
I would like to know that when you select a link in an email if the default browser is still the Opera Mini browser.
Or does it let the user choose between the native browser or the Opera?
Damn...You caught me skimming....Good call J :fing02:
Sorry Bolt, but this beta is kicking right now. The previous beta was okay, but this one fixed everything I didn't like about the last. Loving this.
I'm unable to get it to recognize the click on the 'Accept' button for the EULA, and am basically dead in the water at that point. Can't fully exit the application either, since it's not recognizing the click on the exit confirmation button. Running Irtehun's 7.11 hybrid on my Tour. From comments above and elsewhere, it appears they've fixed the issues I had with the previous release. I'm anxious to get a look at this one, but not if it means having to go back to 4.7 yet again!![]()
@rajones19
I would try and do a battery pull and restart your device. Verify your findings again. If you get the same result do another battery pull, delete the application the re download and try again.
I don't have my Tour with me but do the Tours have a compatability mode? If so, then check to see that it is disabled.
Somehow I locked it up after messing around with it early on so am rebooting my Storm1 as I type this. One question, does the Beta2 support pasting? For the life of me in Beta1 I found no way to paste a URL or text into any of the input fields. Has anyone else noticed that or found you can do that now in Beta2?
Nix my earlier response.....Seems like your device is not supported....
Take a look...supported Blackberry devices
Amazing!! One of the most popular BB devices out there currently, and it's not supported. Hmmm .....
I keep getting white screens when clicking on links. And it says this page needs to be refreshed because of memory cleaning. Very annoying. I like the corrective text while typing.
I am on a 9550. When I try to download it says it is not supported but can try it anyways, but there is no download link. How are you downloading 5.0 beta 2 on the Storm 2?
