Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 is now available for download

Might get passed the EULA but there is a ton of chatter as to why this is not working on particular devices....especially the Tour. The one response I read from one of the Opera spokesman was "Not the ones we have available in Norway. The Tour isn't released here, either."....

Seems Opera is having compatibility issues with 5.0 OS's as well....It's in there forum.

Seems to be running fine on my S2. Only gone to a couple sites, but so far so good, and sync-ed with my bookmarks without issue.

Were you able to download it from the OTA link. When I try I get a screen that says: "Blackberry 9550 detected. We have not yet determined if your device is compatible with opera 5.0. You may try anyways......"

But there is no download.

How did you get 5.0 on your Storm 2?

I just went to http://www.mini.opera.com on my S2 and clicked on the "Try the new Mini 5 beta!" link.

Ok, so I must be totally missing something here--how does one change the speed dial buttons on Mini 5 Beta 2? I've tried via my S2, tried via myopera.com on my computer (logged into the account I use to sync bookmarks), installed Opera 10 on my computer, Google searched...

I know it cannot be that difficult. Maybe the sudden sunshine here in Portland is affecting my aging brain.

OK folks here it is:
Apparently if you try to download it through the device browser, it will download the storm version on your device for some reason no one knows.

Takes you to the page that gives you the other versions. For devices running 5.0, down load the 4.3. for older BBs (I.e 83xx and under) download 4.2. Use the desktop manager to install it. It works great.

Currently running it on my 9700 on 5.0.0.371.

Agreed! I downloaded/installed the 4.3 version with DM, and it's still a disappointment. Trackball scrolling is touchy; possibly because not designed for the Tour. There is a 'remember my password' checkbox on one page that I literally COULD NOT check - the arrow would go above it, below it, or to either side, but never ON it.

I do believe they're on the right track ... but still got a ways to go.

Ok so my question is what exactly is TEO option? I tried to find different menus in emails and other areas but I have not had any luck.

I would love to be able to open links from emails in opera so if anyone can help out of appreciate it!
