Well now that Pandora released its version for the Storm, lets hear it boys and girls, which one do you prefer Pandora or good ole' Slacker?

Both, I switch back and forth...I am weird with music, it has to match my mood.

Pandora installed and Slacker deleted![]()
Slacker bought, pandora deleted.
I never liked Slacker....
When I pick an artist and get a station, after every song, Pandora plays a random one. Also hate the ads..Unless I missed something to keep the station playing my choices, I'll delete it. I understand you can pay for the service, but I'm cheap..Give all my dough to my girlfriend..Get more for my money ;-()..LOL
BTW I use Norbex and I like hearing actual radio stations streaming their programming. Quality is excellent. A search should get you their link

deleted slacker as soon as pandora came out.
i would turn it all in for late nights and impossible dreams.
With norbix it's weird, it plays one song then stops. I'll keep it for now and look at it more indepth. So far Pandora is the winner.

i have pandora, slacker and Iheartradio. I like Slacker the best but Iheartradio is nice because you get radio stations only.
Was going to post this on the cb site but I've become too much of a fan of this site to mess w posting 2x.
I tried Pandora vs Slacker last night...ran them both through a pair of ER6i earphones so there'd be no confusion about sound quality comparisons. I found that Slacker had slightly higher audio quality than Pandora...also found that as I was listening to Pandora, whenever I'd get an email, Pandora would start the song over, which got a little annoying. I didn't notice this with Pandora (not at first). That said, when Pink Floyd's Money came on Slacker, I decided to test the quality of Slacker vs my iPod to see if people claiming that they could "replace their iPod" w. Slacker/Pandora/storm in general. So I cranked up the song on Slacker, then listened to the same song on my iPod (same earphones for both). My conclusion is that anyone claiming that the sound quality out of Slacker (or Pandora) is equal to an iPod is using very bad earphones. The sound quality of the iPod blows away Slacker. In another league. I'm not trying to bash Slacker/Pandora/Storm, just pointing out that broadcasted radio feeds aren't "perfect".
Ok, so I was all jazzed to keep using Slacker b/c of the higher quality sound (not equal to iPod, but better than Pandora) and no email interruptions. About 45min later, I'd listened to a commercial on Slacker, been told I could only skip a few songs, had to tell the program I didn't want to subscribe but wanted to keep listening, and THEN it started replaying the existing song after an email came in. I left the software on my Storm all night (app turned off though) and found myself w. 18mb of free memory this morning (typically its 35mb+). Slacker is deleted off my Storm...I'll stick w. Pandora for those occasions when I want a music feed into my Storm. And I'll definitely keep the iPod handy for "high sound quality" occasions.
Just my 2c.

I had Slacker on my Curve and I heart Radio and now Pandora on my Storm. I like Pandora alot better than Slacker. I would have kept I Heart Radio but it doesn't have stations from where I am from 4 hours from here. Slacker wins.
pandora installed slacker deleted slacker sucks
Pandora for life!!!
yea im runnin pandora and i heart radio.... i heart just because every once and a while i like to listen to the radio stations i have back home...im away at college![]()
Slacker seems very sluggish to me. I loved the caching but it just isn't as snappy as Pandora. I deleted Slacker.
good review, thank you for your input...I agree with most of your findings. I still use them all depending on my mood.
One point of interest for those who hate the skip limit, if you close slacker and reopen, you get your skips back.
So if you have the patience, you can save some money.

i was never impressed with slacker. i deleted it shortly after i got it. dont have pandora yet but ive used it on my PC and i like it. iheartradio is by far my favorite app though. since im in the military having local stations from back home to listen to is awesome!!!
BBOS is the BEST site for BB Help!
Slacker takes up more space and limits the skips...
I like pandora doesn't use as much space and it also doesn't flood my Media Card with junk ugh lol
Pandora for me
