    Druglord Wars Reviewed

Epic Applications, creator of the well known Berry Wars has given their app a make over, including a new name. Berry Wars, now known as Druglord Wars has revamped their game with new images, style and game play. When you launch the game on your BlackBerry device, which works with both Storms and Bolds, Tour, and Curve 8900. At the main menu you have the option to start a new game, resume the game you have been playing, high score and how to play. The high score option shows the top 50 highest scores or top 50 richest players, however you want to look at it. Which at the time the #1 spot is held by user DB with $2,542,048 cash.
    - Unlimited gameplay mode to see how far you can take your drug empire
    - Global online leaderboard to compare your skills to the world
    - 17 different drugs to buy and sell in 11 beautifully rendered cities
    - 16 different weapons and storage containers to take down enemies and hold more drugs
    - Over 100 custom designed images
    - Save games and preview progress before resuming

When you start a new game you choose from either unlimited, 30 days or 90 days for game play. After you select your game length you start out with $1,000.00, which has been loaned to you by your "shark" with 3% interest per day. So you really should get that loan paid off as soon as possible.

Whenever you decide to pay off the loan shark is your choice. You still need to have some cash to purchase some "goods". Starting off you are limited as to what you can purchase. The whole point is to by cheap and sell high. You are limited to how much you can buy based on your sellers quantity and how much you can hold and your cash.

Once you have purchased your "goods", you need to fly to a different city to sell your stock and possibly purchase other goods for cheap price. For the first few days you are limited to where you can travel. You are able to travel to San Francisco, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Seattle. Other cities become available during the game. With more cities comes more goods you can purchase to sell.

Through out the game while you are trying to become as rich as possible, you are going to encounter thugs and police. You have two options when you encounter them. You can either run or you can fight, if you fight, you need to make sure you have some weapons which you can purchase by visiting the store. Not only can you purchase weapons at the store but you can purchase more storage. Each type of clothing can hold more additional quantities. The more you can hold, the more you can purchase and sell for higher profit. That much closer you get to being in the top 50 players.

Final Decision : If you played the previous version of Berry Wars then you will love the new Druglord Wars. The graphical aspect of the application is on a whole new level. Look at the images of the cities inside the airport selection. They are vivid and very sharp looking, along with the new images through out the game play, they add a better look and feel for the game player. Having more cities to select from then the previous version is a plus. Each city has their own style of what sells better and what does not. It makes it that much harder now to remember the small details like that, which can make or break your chance at becoming rich. The only thing I find some what aggravating is you don't have a general idea of what is an average price of each good. To players who are new to this game, they will find it very hard to decide what is a cheap price for each good. If there was a page or option inside the game to just view the average price or what not, I think it would benefit and help most of the new user base.

With that said, I give this app a 9/10. Not having some sort of page to see an average price for each good, does make game play difficult for some users. That is the reason for a 9 and not a 10. The game has a great new look and in all honesty, I planned on doing this review three days ago. Every time I start to play to do a review, I get into playing the game and forget about the review. It is a very addicting game. Well worth the purchase!

I ordered it and it wants to check the order for fraud... Hmmm I wonder.

That's something mobihand does once in a while. I really can't give you a reason why because I don't know why but they do do that once in a while.

Overall, i think the game is pretty good.

not having an average cost page can be an issue, but that is part of the game. the more you play, the more you start to figure out the goods that are at prices to buy and/or sell.

    I have two issues:
1 - Why isnt this game able to be played in portrait mode? If it can be, please let me know.
2 - The area in which to view the "goods" that you can purchase/sell is pretty small, only showing 3 (or 4...i can't remember right now) goods at a time. This is bothersome to me. i feel like i'm constantly scrolling in this game...

    just my two cents

I would like to be able to play in portrait as well. It would also be nice if you could buy body armor and health.
