Thread: Issues with Dispatcher

Hey guys, anyone here super familiar with BES? My experience is somewhat limited and got a weird issue with the dispatcher service failing to start when the server restarts. The service is set to start automatically but fails to error 5608. I have check the solutions that rim has listed on their knowledge center at KB04185-"Error 5608" appears when starting the BlackBerry Dispatcher but if I try to start the service several times in a row it will catch and start.

Any ideas?

• Message environment
• BES Version
• And OS Version

Sounds like something funky is going on with your SQL database if had to guess.

Bes 4.1
MS SQL server 2005
MS Exchange 2007

Thanks for the idea ice. we never rebuilt the database as the dispatch eventually started. (I was misinformed by the IT specialist)
