    Introducing Blackberry Pushcast Software

In 2008 RIM acquired company named Chalk Media, that gave them the ability to push rich media to corporate users over the air. This was called Chalk Pushcast Software, RIM recently announced that that have re-branded it to Blackberry Pushcast Software. They have also included what seems to be a complete make over of features that will prove to be more productive for everyone. The Blackberry Pushcast Software allows companies to train employees like they never have before, by streaming rich media like videos, power point presentations, and documents. This means that Administration can train people on their devices on the go where ever they are. It also works on the PlayBook; which by design is perfect for this.

Take a look at some of the features below:

    BlackBerry Pushcast Player
    • Universal search integration on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry® 6 or later
    • Email notifications for new content on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry® Device Software 4.6 or later
    • On BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry 6 or later, a new content indicator will also appear in the notification area on the Home screen
    • Users can zoom in to and out from content on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry 6 or later
    • BlackBerry Pushcast content is stored as a single file on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • The BlackBerry smartphone automatically stops downloading content when a data connection is not available or when a call is received. The BlackBerry smartphone should automatically resume downloading the content when the connection is restored or when the call ends.

    • Video content can be published in H.264 AAC format
