Thread: So how long should my 1600mAh Battery last?

So back in March, i bought a cheap 1600mAh Battery off ebay. $13 bucks. great deal. Worked great to. In the last month, i have noticed that my battery is not nearly last as long as it use to.

Could be a number of reasons. I think i probably use my phone more then ever now. Twitter and BBOS, beyond my already heavy use kills my battery. I follow all the tricks of the trade to maximize my battery usage.

so the questions is this, how long does a 1600mAh Battery life keep a good charge? After 6 months should i see a difference?

I'll probably buy a "official" 1600mAh Battery this time around, but i wanted some feed back before i took the $40+ jump. Thanks!

I forgot the magical number but it's something like 1200-1600 charges. A lot of this depends on use and proper battery use. But IMO a battery should last at minimum 12 months even at extreme levels of usage.

Something else for you... Its summer time and the heat will dramatically affect the life, and also depending on what os and hybrid you are running will throw those #'s off also!

Very good point, Jason!!! I noticed that in heat my average battery temperature is ~100+F
