Thread: Seidio 1600mAh Extended OEM Size Battery

Have any of you tour owners ordered and used the Seidio 1600mAh battery? I am having trouble with my amount of use and making it through the day with the charge, and not always do i have the luxury to charge it.

Anyone who has used it, I would love to hear how much it had improved their battery life, and if they feel it was worth the $44.99 pricetag.

I have it and my battery dies around 8-9pm daily with heavy use. I never tried the stock battery as I had this one from the Storm. So I can't tell you how big a difference it makes compared to the 1400.

Hmmm. I had the 2600 for my storm and i loved it but i sold it when i rid myself of my storm.

The 1400 is just not quite enough and I was hoping some good results from Tour owners about it.

I just have the standard battery that came with the Tour and being a heavy biz user, over 200 emails a day, 3+ hours of calls, BBM, browsing, etc. my phone makes it about 24 hours until complete battery drain. According to Meterberry my battery drain at about 1.5% which is a major increase over the Storm.

While my battery door is starting to show a little looseness to it, I am very happy with the performance of the battery.

I had my Tour replaced, and noticed on the bottom of the actual phone, not the battery door there were a few little pieces of what appeared like a tape, and thats keeping my door nice and tight.

what tips would you have for improving my battery life? I have my screen at 10%, my SS never updates unless I go into it, and my WeatherBerry updates every 6 hours. Also I know to properly close the apps when I am done using them, and like I took my phone off the charger at 6am, and im already at 70% and honestly I didnt even use it but for about 10 BBMs and 15 emails at most.

Maybe that's the problem with my battery door. I don't see what you described . Anyway, going to VZW today to get it replaced.

As for battery life, it's really hard to say because it seems as though you are doing everything correctly.

One tip that could help is for you to drain the battery completely until your phone is totally dead. Then recharge it all the way to full. What this does is semi-flash the memory of your battery in essence resetting it. It has worked for many on the Storm so don't see why it wouldn't work for the Tour since they both use the same battery.

Hmm interesting, never heard of this one. I for one can vouch for the great extended batteries that Seidio make. Not sure what bad things you were told but Seidio is one of the most reputable names in extended batteries.

For that price you could get several batts on ebay... I got 3 1600s for like 20 bucks..... Keep 2 on me at all times
