The Targus Truss Leather Case and Stand is a great alternative case to the OEM BlackBerry Convertible Case. This case is comparable to the OEM convertible case because of how similar it is in functionality of being both a carrying case and a desktop viewing stand for the PlayBook. Initially from the unpacking of the box, this item was a bit bulkier than the original OEM convertible case, however, after playing around with it for a few minutes it did not feel too bulky at all for me to carry around with me.
One of the reasons this case is noticeable thicker is because of the screen cushion inside the case which is nice soft cotton material which provides great protection for the screen when it is in the case. The extra depth also allows for deeper grooves in the case so that when the PlayBook is stood up on its side, it does not slide down (which was an issue I found on my OEM convertible case). In addition to having nice deep grooves, there are also 3 different viewing angles which this case allows the PlayBook to be viewed in as opposed to the 2 that the OEM case has.
