Thread: This weeks fight..Jawbone Prime vs BlueAnt Q1?

Never used the JB but I have several BlueAnts. Supertooth 3, V1 and Z9i.

All come with a 2 year warranty and have not had any problems with any.

Waiting for the Q1 and I am sure I will be 100% happy with it.

I have owned the 2 previous versions of the Jawbone and wasnt thrilled with either of them, I am on the fence about trying another so I'm waiting for the verdict

I've had a gen 1 Jawbone and a Prime (well for one month until I lost it), and now a Blueant Q1. People tell me that in a quiet room the Blueant q1 sounds better, but outside or with any kind of noise, the Prime blows it away.

The Blueant Q1 is firmware upgradable, but unfortunately, the installer does not work with 64bit systems. When I called them and asked for the 64-bit updater (like it says to do in their 32 bit installer), they said they have no info or plans for one. Go figure.

I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life, but I'll check back in a week or two.

Here in Asia the Q1 will not be available till end of August. That is a real bummer but hey, its life.

If anyone feels like giving, please do not be shy and PM me so I can send you an address to ship a Q1 this way.

Which Jawbone did you try Leo? One of the things about the earlier models was getting it to fit properly. Jawbone finally did a good job with that in the Prime. I have tried pretty much every BT known to mankind and found the Jawbone to be the best BT on the market with perhaps the except of Plantronics Voyager Pro (which looks just god awful lol).

i've been waitting for this review for over a month now.... and NO LUCK YET, when are we expecting this review???

I cant wait to hear the results... JL as you konw I have been searching for a BT and still am. I am down to these two, and would like to hear some input before I order... I dont like to order and try it to return it...What if I like the first one better lol....cant wait GOD

I can't speak for these two devices specifically, but I have tried jawbone and blueant before. For me, blueant fit better on my ear, and that's what really mattered to me.

Have you tried the Jawbone Prime? It comes with a much better fitting ear piece. Nice soft rubber very comfortable.

There is only one other BT that IMO matches up to the Jawbone and that is the Plantronics Pro Voyager. Wow the call quality is like honey to your ears. But for sound cancellation nothing comes close to JB.

No. The only reason I have a BT is because I got one for my birthday last year.

BBOS can you at least tell us the winner i am planning on buying one by sat.

Well BBOS is still working on the write up but the final verdict is the Jawbone Prime. Quoting BBOS, "The Jawbone is by far the best BT ever".

I can only tell you my impressions but yes it is. First off, the fit and comfort are much better on the Prime. Secondly, you no longer need that voice sensor to be on your face for it to work. Thirdly, voice canceling tech is better. Fourthly, incoming and outgoing call quality is better.
