Instead of "poking" UI components, users interact with content on the screen using gestures. Avoid cluttering the screen with UI components and design your application to use the available gestures. For example, let users zoom into a picture with the spread gesture instead of tapping a button to incrementally zoom in.

Clearly for the average users whom do not know anything about gestures need to be trained and briefed about the gestures.
But I'm sure once everyone gets the hang of it, Z10 will be a huge hit

Great to have videos in one place. Have had my Z10 for 3 days now (from Bold 9700) - am loving it!
Questions:

- is Cut & Paste available in every "input field" - often I want to copy/paste but can't find a way to do it.
- The Bold 9700 had a Calendar Alarm - e.g. "Pick up the shopping at 10:00am" - really useful; can't see it on Z10 (have to use Meeting Request etc - a bit long winded to set up!)
- The Meeting Time increments seem to be in 5min chunks- can this be set to single minutes (don't ask!) - but useful (for me anyway!)

- delete multiple emails (e.g. 2-fingered select; but this doesn't work) - can this be done ... actually Can hub items (mail, phone calls, messages etc) be multi-selected for deletion etc.

Welcome to BBOS and congrats on getting your Z10!

Try holding down two fingers to copy text.

For email. Try holding down the email till the menu on the right pops up. Then choose 'Select More.' You can then delete all the ones you selected at once.

Yes

BB10 has a combined todo / list app called BlackBerry Remember. You can set reminders here. Alternatively, just start the voice assistant and say "Remind me to pick up the shopping at 10am"

The calendar app doesn't, oddly enough HOWEVER I've tested it with the voice assistant and you can set custom times, eg say "Schedule an appointment for TEN - TWELVE" and it will create an appointment at 10:12.

Yes, press and hold a single entry, and an option appears in the action bar to select multiple-entries. I've been using it a lot this last few days.

Very cryptic ! But I think I've got it. It's a bit fiddly though.

I get the word I want to Cut highlighted (which sometimes takes a while!):



But no icons for Cut/Paste etc on the left of screen - so then I stick my finger on the highlighted text - finally the Cut/Paste icons appear. Often though I end up not hitting the text etc & it exits out of edit mode - arrgh! Is this what you meant by "Yes"?.

Yes - that's useful to know. (Oddlythe voice confirms "2nd Aug" for UK date "8th Feb" - but it goes into the Diary correctly.)

When copying text, just tap on the selected text and then the action menu will appear. Then you can cut or copy.

I agree it's a little fiddly, and I'm still getting used to the "Elastic Grippers" that pop up when selecting text

I see your point about not setting a time in BlackBerry Remember. However, if you use the voice assistant and say "Remind me..." and it will set a date and time in that app. J didn't realise that you couldn't do the time without voice assist, so sorry about that.
