According to yet another leaked internal document BBM on the new BB 10 devices will have the ability to utilize themes. According to the document changing the theme to a black can decrease battery consumption by approximately 25%. In addition further optimizing the screen for the OLED-display decreases battery consumption by 75% compared to the direct translation.
This is some good news. I'm liking the fluid interface of the BBM chat windows on the L-series BB 10 device.
