First Image Of BlackBerry 10 Superphone Revealed
The first image of the BlackBerry London, RIM's first BlackBerry 10 phone has surfaced. This is a far cry from the
earlier leaked photos that we saw last year. However, it does give us some real hope that the BlackBerry 10 devices are almost within reach. RIM has been giving us hints about this device for quite some time now, and if you look at the picture closely it may remind you of something else.
If your thinking BlackBerry PlayBook then your on the right track. Late last year then Co-CEO
Mike Lazaridis, was asked what the QNX-based phone would look like he then
held up a PlayBook, and said, "like this." The look is fresh, and steps away from RIM's traditional style devices that many have become used to. It is actually similar in nature to a Samsung or HTC device. It looks like its out with the old, and in with the new in the design department for this device.
Looks are one thing, but there has to be something under the surface as well. This area has also been revamped with the addition of a QNX-based OS. What we do not know is how it will handle. Will it be similar to the PlayBook in its multitasking capabilities?
There is little on the hardware specifications, but it is said to ship with either the TI OMAP5 or Qualcomm chip-sets. Both of which are 1.5GHz dual core processors, so far it seems as though this device may be able to handle its self quite well.
As of now it seems as though getting a hold of one of these devices will still require some patience. RIM has already mentioned that we wont be seeing any BlackBerry 10 devices until later in the year.
