So with the news of BlackBerry 10 being delayed till sometime during the first quarter of 2013 (roughly 6+ months from now), there are many questions floating around as to what will RIM do to keep BlackBerry fresh in the eyes of loyal users? Many are wondering if the latest OS 7 will be able to hold interest, or if RIM has any other OS updates in store along the way? I for one am not happy about the delay. And although I'll be sticking with Team BlackBerry always, the average user will shy away from the platform unless it has what the general consumer market wants. Let's face it, OS 7 has a lot of great qualities that us BlackBerry users want, but it does lack fundamental features (video chat, apps, ect) that the average smartphone user craves for.
This brings me to my poll question for you. For those of us who have BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, we know the power and capability they posses. And for those of us who have Dev Alpha devices, we know the potential they have.
If RIM were to announce the release of a new BlackBerry Smartphone tomorrow that has the form factor of the Dev Alpha, running PlayBook OS 2.1, and BBM equipped - would you purchase it? (vote in our site poll above)
Please explain why you would choose yes, or no?
