    Issues when wiping BB 10 dev alpha device

    If you happen to have a dev alpha device, do not wipe it! If you do it will brick the device. Essentially what happened is that if you wipe the device, instead of a factory reset, it basically re-formats the phone.

    If you have already done this I am told that DM 7.1 or pending a new update, will fix this issue.

    RIM's Solution:


    Please attempt to reload the OS on the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Device. The software required for the reload is available from the BlackBerry BetaZone login.

    1. Please visit http://www.blackberry.com/betazoneand login with your account.

    2. Remove any previous versions of BlackBerry Desktop Software from add/remove programs.
    3. Download BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1 and install the program
    4. Follow the steps as outline in the download file called “BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Device Reload Instructions”

    Edit: I tried it out didnt work unfortunately!
