I personally know several that did. You don't remember the outcry all over online when Thorsten said no BB10 for PlayBook?

There was outcry when BlackBerry added a "BlackBerry Hub" icon to the home screen.

Anything and everything the company does is scrutinized.

After a few days, everyone calmed down and found something else to complain about.

Right, but they were flat out mislead, and people spent hundreds of dollars on the promise of what was coming. That's called bait and switch. Big difference to simply adding an icon.

Have been a playbook owner since day one, had doubts that BB10 would come to playbook at time of announcement, not having BBM on it is not a problem, I use Z30 as playbook replacement it does everything in one package probably BlackBerry's finest, they can get it right, use enjoy and move on.

I didn't have any doubts. When a CEO of the company says that PlayBook will get BB10, I 100% expect that to happen.

We need to face the facts fellas, BB messed up bad on that one and tainted their image with a lot of users.

I feel like BlackBerry could have made it right by offering a PlayBook full value trade-in for a discount on another BB device, or store credit.

Yes. They goofed. Hard. Very hard.

I think a full store credit is a little extreme. It is technology, and nothing in it's future is certain. Buying something based on a promise is silly.

Offering a $50 gift card in BlackBerry World would have been nice.

Trust is the issue. BB made promises and reneged, might explain some of the financial issues the company is in today. I liked the Playbook which had many superior features to the iPad, but I was also expecting BB to support it more vigorously. Even Apple gives credit for turned in obsolete iPhones and iPads. Technology does change, but in regard to Playbook, BB just abandoned all those customers.
