    1. BlackBerry Themes

Last week I had a few personal issues to deal with but I'm happy to say Theme Thursday is back again!!

For Theme Thursday, we're going to look at Swag once again, from drkapprentice designs. I've been using several of his themes now for quite some time, and I have to say, my first impression of Swag was way off base.

For Theme Thursday, we're going to look at Swag, from drkapprentice designs. I've been using several of his themes now for quite some time, and I have to say, my first impression of Swag was way off base.

Initially I thought this looked like a pretty simple design to come from a theme builder who we have gotten use to throwing together some complex themes...DRK7S and Recon to name a few. But, I had to load it to find out for myself, and to say the least, I'm very impressed.

Swag is very sharp with the graphics, with a simple but appealing look that's very clean. The landscape view has gotten rid of the stock graphics and been replaced with the theme's. The transitions from screen to screen are also impressive. Very fast and no lag as you sometimes see in other themes. Another thing I like about drkapprentice themes is that he uses the BB fonts that you have chosen to use, and he doesn't disappoint here. You still get your chosen fonts in the menu screens but also with a transparent background. All of this, coupled with the OS 6 icons makes this one slick theme that you really do have to get.

Some of the main features of Swag are...

Well, BBOS is bringing the Weekly Recap back on a regular basis. Look for it at this very spot each Sunday, 7 PM Eastern Time. I’ve been a member of BBOS now since September of 2009, and most of the members have seen me around the forums in that time, either throwing my 2 cents in or helping members with they’re questions. So here goes my first attempt at blogging, be kind.

It has been a busy week here at BBOS, with a large numbers of leaks, official releases, news from RIM and Contests.

One of the biggest stories hitting last week is the controversy between KIK and RIM. We've all read now where first RIM had KIK removed from APP World, and then saw RIM launch a copyright lawsuit against KIK. Now there have been several points of view for and against both sides of this issue. But here's the kicker, CEO of KIK was a past employee of RIM, who headed of all things, the Blackberry Messenger service of RIM. Read the full story by following the link found in breaking news.

This past week has seen a rash of both official and leaked operating systems. The list includes official releases for the 8530, 8900, 9000, 9550 and the 9700, and leaked operating systems for the 8520, 8900, 9300, and the 9650.

If any of these peak your interest, head on over to the download section, BlackBerryOS Download Center - RIM BlackBerry operating Software download center

Amazon Wireless is sporting one heck of a deal for the holidays. Amazon Wireless has the following Blackberry models up for grabs for a penny with free 2 day shipping. So, if you are looking for a new plan, upgrade or want to add a line, now might be the best time to treat yourself or someone you know with a new Blackberry. Now that’s an awesome gift! Just a little tidbit for Theme Thursday which I will be taking over as of this week. To start my time in
Theme Thursday, I will have 20 copies of one fantastic theme that I have been running for a few days now.

Without saying much, it has phenomenal battery and memory stability, is aesthetically nice and the transitions are something different. as well as a new screen when your in landscape view.

I will also be starting something new for Theme Thursday. I will be letting everyone know about a code word that I will be using. Starting in December, once someone sees that code word and is the first member to PM (private message) myself, the correct code word, they will automatically win the first copy of that theme.

So remember to read my first post this Thursday and remember the code word. I will be doing one giveaway a month for themes, and it will not be the same week each month.

Stay tuned for more this Thursday!!
