Ubertwitter - Ring Tone/Alerts

Why is ubertwitter missing from:

Options > Ring Tone/Alerts > Other?

I still receive the custom ringtone I set for it, but what if I want to change it now? It used to be listed there. Perplexing...

UT version 0.909
OS: v8 hybrid

Man I am glad I am not alone! I have deleted and re installed it several times trying to figure this out, but it never shows on any profile. I too still get my custom alerts but it does not show anywhere

thats strange, i have the same version of uber and my settings are there along with socialscope :dunno:

The only app that shows up in my "other" alerts is Tweetgenius, for the life of me I can't figure this out. I gave up after 3 days :lmao:

Well I have an update :lmao: I just deleted TweetGenius off my phone and now UT shows up under alerts after the reboot :dance:

It must have been an issue between TG and UT is the only thing I can think of?

Now if I had only installed TG, then I could delete it and I'd be all set. :crazy: :D

Would you test something for me? Logout of SS and try to access your sound profiles. Do you get an error? I know there's been issues with the Storm but I'm not sure about the tour.

My sounds database kept giving me an error when I'd try to backup my device and I narrowed it down to SS. I uninstalled SS and set up UT then noticed that UT was no longer listed. When I had SS & UT installed they were both listed in the "Other" section.

Did a complete wipe this morning, reinstalled OS, added UT....and nothing. I would have thought if there was a conflict with SS this would have solved the issue.

ok, i logged out of ss and i can still access my sound profiles with no issue

have you tried to uninstall ut, do a batterypull and reinstall to see if the sound profile options come back?

Yeah, that was the first thing I did. Uninstalled both, BP, reinstalled only UT but had the same issues. That's what prompted me to uninstall, wipe, reload OS, & reinstall UT. I thought that would clear things up. This has me totally clueless (which isn't really that hard).

asnyder, if you go into options/advanced options/applications/ubertwitter/bb button/edit permissions and you expand the options are they all set to allow?

Yes, they were all set to allow. To be totally anal, I manually reset them all to allow and did a BP.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's not a UTbeta4 issue.
I may have an old backup with a prior UT version, I'll try that and see if it resolves anything.

It's really not a huge issue, I just found it odd then began wondering....well, what if I get sick of that tone.

i have OCD so not having the option would make me go crazy even if i didnt need it at the time, ill keep looking to see if i find anything for ya :22:

I emailed the dev about this. He said a lot of people are reporting this and they are working on a solution. :D

I am running the stock theme as well. Possibly theme related?
